ASUS has just announced its new Zenfone 5 series and launched few phones in the series. Along with Zenfone 5Z, it also launched ASUS Zenfone 5. The phone got the same design that we saw in Zenfone 5Z but with less powerful specifications.

Zenfone 5 comes with 6.2-inch Full HD+ 19:9 Super IPS display with notch design and 90% screen-to-body ratio. It has AI Display that audo adjust color temperate. The display also has Glove Touch support and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The phone runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with ZenUI 5.0 and the company has already confirmed Android P upgrade for this phone.

It packs 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 14nm Processor with Adreno 509 GPU. It come with 4 GB or 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB or 128GB storage. Storage is also expandable up to 2TB.

ASUS Zenfone 5 has dual camera support where it has 12 megapixels primary sensor with Sony IMX363 sensor, 1.4μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, 0.03s Tri Tech auto-focus, Dual Pixel PDAF, 4-axis OIS/EIS, Pro mode and RAW support along with 8 megapixels secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture, OV8856 sensor and 120-degree wide-angle lens.

It has Dual speakers with NXP 9874 Smart AMP, Hi-Res Audio 192kHz/24b-bit and DTS Headphone: X for 7.1 channel surround sound. The phone has fingerprint sensor on the back as well.

It has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C (2.0) connectivity option. The phone supports Dual VoLTE. It packs 3300 mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster fast charging and AI charging.

The phone will be available in Midnight Blue and Meteor Silver colors. There is no official details on pricing but the company confirmed that it will be available starting April this year.
