OnePlus has now made it easier to switch to the new OnePlus device. It has launched a new app ‘Switch’ that helps you in moving your data from old smartphone to new OnePlus phone.

The app can move contacts, messages, call logs, calendar, photos, videos, and audios. It can also move your applications, but not your application data. your device settings will also not be transferred. So, you need to use Google’s auto-backup feature for this if your phone runs Android Marshmallow or higher

You just need to install the app on both phones and connect via WiFi. You can select the data you want to move and then move the data.

It is not the first time when smartphone company comes with a data migration app. Samsung, Apple, and Google also have similar apps to move data from old phone to new phone.

The Switch app is available for Android devices running Lollipop or higher. There is no iOS version. So, you will be disappointed if you are switching to a OnePlus device from an Apple iPhone. It is also worth to note that app is still in beta and the stable version is expected to come by mid-January.

If you are thinking to buy a OnePlus phone or just bought one, use Switch app to move the data.
