Xiaomi has just announced two new smartphones Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus at an event in China. Both phones come with 18:8 Full-screen display and runs on MIUI 9. These phones will go on sale in China starting December 12.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 comes with 5.7-inch HD+18:9 2.5D curved glass display and runs on MIUI 9. The phone is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 450 14nm Processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes in 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. Storage is expandable up to 128GB.

Xiaomi Redmi 5

The phone offers 12 megapixels rear camera with LED flash and 5 megapixels front camera with front LED flash. It offers both a Fingerprint sensor and an Infrared sensor. It packs 3300mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS + GLONASS.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus comes with 5.99-inch (2160 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display and runs on Android 7.1.2 with MIUI 9. It is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm Soc with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes in 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage models.

The phone’s similar camera setup. It also has 12 megapixels rear camera and 5 megapixels front camera. Both cameras got LED flash support. This phone also has a Fingerprint sensor and an Infrared sensor. As it is bigger in size, it packs a 4000mAhbattery.
