Qualcomm has finally announced the next generation flagship processor Snapdragon 845 at its Snapdragon Tech Summit. This new processor is the successor of Snapdragon 835 launched last year.

The new Snapdragon 845 comes with improved performance, better power efficiency, and better image processing. It will also offer more immersive virtual reality content and better in-built security.

The Snapdragon 845 will be manufactured by Samsung using the 10nm process. It also comes with support for gigabit LTE. But it will be useful only to those users whose carriers are actually able to provide such speeds.

This processor will have four ARM Cortex-A75 cores and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores. It will be paired with Adreno 630 GPU for offering impressive performance.

Xiaomi Mi 7, Galaxy S9 and LG G7 will be few devices to use this new processor. Xiaomi has even confirmed to use Snapdragon 845 in upcoming Mi 7.

Qualcomm has not confirmed technical details at the time of the announcement. More details will be confirmed later today.
