Apple has increased prices of iPhone models in India after increase in import duty

Last week, Indian government increased the import duty on mobile phones from 10% to 15%. As Apple imports all of its phones except iPhone SE, it has revised prices of all iPhone models in India.

Apple is assembling its iPhone SE in India. This is the reason, this model is unaffected and price of iPhone SE is same. But other models that are being imported saw a hike in price. The iPhone X 128GB model change of Rs. 3720 in price and price has gone from Rs. 102,000 to Rs. 105,720

Apple announced the price cut on iPhone prices back in July after the GST was implemented. Now it has to increase the price due to the recent change in import duty

Here, we are talking about the MRP set by Apple. Some third-party retailers may sell the phones for cheaper rates. It was also reported that many retailers are even selling the iPhone X for price higher than MRP.
