OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has already started teasing upcoming OnePlus 5T. OnePlus social media accounts are posting images to give us hints of new OnePlus 5T. He shared few portrait shots captured from the phone. He also confirmed the 3.5mm headphone jack in upcoming OnePlus 5T.

OnePlus has no intention to follow the recent trend and it wants 3.5 mm headphone jack to stay because people want it. He talked about how wired headphones are better tat wireless earbuds in terms of quality. So, people prefer wired headphones and headphone jack on the phone.

He claimed that removing headphone jack and using the Type-C for audio wouldn’t improved user experience. SO, there is no point of creating trouble for users just to slim down the phone.

He knows that the wireless tech has potential but the change is not necessary at this moment. OnePlus devices already support latest wireless standards for those who want good music quality over Bluetooth. But OnePlus wants to take care of all users’ need. So, the headphone jack is not going anywhere for now.

What is your take on this? Do you think there should be a headphone jack? Let us know your views in the comments.
