Huawei has just announced its new smartphone Huawei Mate 10 at an event in Germany. This phone packs powerful hardware with dedicated neural network processing unit and Artificial intelligence engine.
The phone has narrow bezels and the build is made of a glass panel with aluminum frame.
Huawei Mate 10 comes with 5.9-inch Quad HD 2.5D curved glass display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It has Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 970 10nm processor with i7 co-processor for neural network processing. It also has Mali-G72 MP12 GPU.
The phone has 4 GB RAM and 64GB storage. Storage is also expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0.
The phone has dual camera setup having 20 megapixels Monochrome sensor and 12 megapixels RGB sensor with Leica Summilux-H lenses and f/1.6 aperture. The camera setup also has dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, CAF, Laser AF, OIS and 4K video recording. It has 8 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
It has a fingerprint sensor and Infrared sensor. It also has 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C connectivity options. The phone packs 4000 mAh battery with support to fast charging.
The phone has Artificial intelligence engine that offers Real-Time Scene and Object Recognition functionality. It automatically detects camera settings based on environment. It also instantly translates text, voice, conversations, and images into 50+ languages.
The phone also comes with Champagne Gold, Classic Black, Pink Gold, and Mocha Brown colors. It will be available in late October in over 15 countries. It is priced at €699.
