Amazon has launched its new Amazon Kindle Oasis in India. It is the update to the Kindle Oasis launched last year. Now, it has a new design including a metal body made of aluminum alloy. This is also waterproof with an IPX8 rating.
It is priced at Rs. 21,999 for the 8GB model and Rs. 28,999 for the 32GB model (Wi-Fi + free 3G). In US, the company is also offering a 4G variant, but India only got the 3G one. Amazon has also partnered with Vodafone to offer a pre-activated Vodafone 3G connection paid by Amazon.
Amazon Kindle Oasis has a 7-inch 300ppi screen. It also has an ambient light sensor, which will automatically adjust the screen brightness. It is available in different storage models. So choose the one as per your need.
It has the same design offering a hand grip. It also has a physical page turn buttons.
It also has Audible built-in. So, you can listen to audiobooks without switching between reading and listen on speakers or Bluetooth headphones.
Another good thing is the support for fast charging. It also promises to offer of up to six weeks of battery life.
It is the first waterproof Kindle with the IPX8 rating. It can stand immersion in up to 2 meters of fresh water for up to 60 minutes. So, you can enjoy reading at the beach, bathtub, hot tub, or pool.
Now the Kindle Oasis is available for pre-order on Amazon.in and shipping starts from November 12.
