Apple has upgraded its Apple TV and introduced Apple TV 4K. As the name suggests, now it supports 4K content. So, Apple fans can now watch higher-resolution streaming video.

Apple Tv 4K with HDR claims to deliver highest quality video content. With this, now Apple will be competing with Roku and Amazon, which have offered 4K and HDR support for a while.

It runs on latest version of tvOS. The TV box is powered by an A10X Fusion chip. This is the same chip that we saw in this year’s iPad Pro models. It claims to be 50% faster and offer 4 times better graphics performance than previous Apple TV.

Soon, it will also bring Live sports content.

Apple has also confirmed the launch of Apple TV app to 7 more countries including Canda and Australia.

It is priced at $179 It will start shipping starting September 22 and pre-orders will begin starting September 15.
