The good news is that Xiaomi has finally added a dedicated microSD card slot along with two dedicated SIM slots. This was much requested from Indian consumers who want expandable storage without compromising the dual SIM feature. This microSD card slot will allow users to expand storage up to 128GB.

The second good news is that Redmi Note 5A will also feature a selfie flash. It is not clear if this will be in the regular version of Redmi Note 5A or any special variant. As per reports, there will be a top-tier version with 16 MP front camera with selfie flash. The regular version will have a 13 megapixels front camera.

Other specifications of the phone are expected to be 5.5-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 425 chipset, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The pro or Prime mode is also expected with Snapdragon 430 or 435, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. This is the same that could come with selfie flash.

This phone will have 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and an IR blaster. The 3000 mAh battery will also be there inside a 7.3mm thick metal body.
