Xiaomi has launched the successor of Redmi Note 5A at an event in China. The phone comes in three RAM/Storage variants. The 2GB RAM with 16GB storage is priced at CNY 699, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant is priced at CNY 899 and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,199.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A comes with sleek metal unibody design and it comes in Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Platinum Silver colors.
The phone has 5.5-inch HD IPS display. It is powered by Snapdragon 425 SoC in 2GB RAM variant and Snapdragon 635 in 3GB and 4GB RAM variant. I have already talked about RAM and storage models. It runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat.
In all models, you can expand storage up to 128GB with a dedicated SIM card slot. It also has a fingerprint sensor and Infrared sensor.
The basic version with 2GB RAM got 13 megapixels rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, and PDAF. It also has 5 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The high-end with 3GB/4GB RAM has 13 megapixels rear camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. It also has 16 megapixels front camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and 76.4-degree wide-angle lens.
The connectivity features of the phone are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS / GLONASS. It packs 3080 mAh battery.
