Micromax India will soon launch its new smartphone Evok Dual Note in its Evok series of smartphones. The company has also started teasing this phone on social media.

The teaser says “Stay tuned for pixel perfect life”. It suggests something about a high number of pixels.

It looks to be the successor of previously launched Micromax Evok Note. But the Dual word in the new phone suggests the presence of dual camera setup in the phone.

It is worth to note that Micromax launched Micromax Dual 5 back in March this year. That phone even came with chip level security to keep data safe. This phone was launched for Rs. 24999. So, it couldn’t attract many consumers. This phone was also just the rebranded version of Qiku 360 Q5.

With this new Evok Dual Note, the company can think of targeting the lower-mid range segment and bring affordable dual camera phone. Lenovo K8 Note, Honor 6X and Cool 1 Dual are already there offering dual camera phone. Now, Micromax should seriously think about bringing innovation. It has already been criticized for launching rebranded devices.

Micromax once ruled the budget segment with its affordable devices, but Chinese companies snatched the whole market. Micromax even tried with its Yu brand, but devices were not as good as consumers want. I hope the company will take time in researching what consumers need and then bring a device that is really good enough to get some buzz.
