LG has finally announced its flagship phone LG V30 at IFA 2017 in Berlin. The phone comes in Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet colors.
LG V30 has a metal frame with a glass panel at front and rear. Both glass panels have Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. LG has given always-on display (AOD) and floating bar features on the display. The floating bar is customizable. So, you can add up to 5 apps for easy access of frequently used apps.
The phone has IP68 water and dust resistance. It has also passed 14 categories of the MIL-STD 810G Transit Drop Test. Dimensions of the phone measure 151.7 x 75.4 x 7.3mm and weight is 158g.
It comes with 6-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The company also reduced the bezels to make it attractive. It is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor with Adreno 540 GPU. It has 4GB LPDDR4x RAM.
It has 64GB UFS 2.0 ROM in V30 or 128GB UFS 2.0 ROM in V30+ with an option to expand storage up to 2TB via microSD card.
It has dual rear camera setup with 16MP Standard Angle (F1.6 aperture and 71° field of view) / 13MP Wide Angle (F1.9 aperture and 120° field of view). The camera also has dual-tone LED flash, Laser auto focus, OIS, EIS and PDAF. It also has 5 megapixels front camera with F2.2 aperture.
The phone comes with Android 7.1.2 Nougat and will be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo soon. It also supports Google’s DayDream. It also features a fingerprint scanner, voice recognition, and face recognition.
LG has also included 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and a set of earphones by B&O PLAY. This phone has three digital filters to adjust the pre- and postringing of the impulse response. It also supports Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) technology that allows for high-resolution audio streaming.
It comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0 connectivity. It is also packed with 3,300mAh battery with support to Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. It also offers wireless charging.
