Smartron with 5.5-inch display, 4GB RAM launched starting at Rs. 13999


Indian electronics and IoT company Smartron has launched its new phone Smartron in India. The investor and brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar unveiled the phone at an event in Delhi.

Smartron comes is priced at 12999 for 32GB storage and Rs. 13999 for 64GB storage. It is now available exclusively from Flipkart.

The phone has metal color shade but it has polycarbonate build. The backcover of the phone is removable but battery is non-removable.

The phone comes with 5.5-inch Full HD display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with 4GB RAM. The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with stock UI. It brings Microsoft suit and company’s tronX suite of apps.

It has 13 megapixels rear camera with PDAF, a dual-LED flash, and an f/2.0 aperture and 4-megapixels front camera. The phone also has fingerprint sensor on the rear panel.

The phone comes with 3000 mAh battery with support to Quick Charge 2.0 technology. The connectivity features of the phone are 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS and USB Type-C. It comes with dual SIM with dual LTE.

The dimensions of the phone measure 153x77x8.9mm.

The company offers a free back-cover, one year of warranty and an additional Rs 1,500 off on exchange of an older phone with
