HTC U11 with 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 835 Soc, Edge Sense launched
HTC has finally launched its new flagship phone HTC U11 at its event in Taiwan. The phone comes in Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red color options. It will be available globally starting from this month. For Europe, it is priced at EUR 749 and for US, it carries a price tag of $749.
HTC U11 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with company’s own HTC Sense Skin. It also offers Edge Sense feature that brings a completely new category of interaction with the smartphone.
The phone has 5.5-inch Quad HD (1440×2560 pixels) Super LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. It comes in two RAM storage models: 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage. In India, the company will bring only 6GB RAM model. The storage is also expandable up to 2TB.
HTC U11 offers 12 megapixels rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, 1.4μm pixel, ultra spread autofocus, BSI sensor, OIS, slow-motion, and 4K video recording. The camera comes with software features including pro mode, RAW format, HDR Boost, Face Detection, and more. It also has 16 megapixels front camera with BSI sensor. The front camera features including live make-up, voice selfie, HDR Boost, selfie panorama and Full HD recording.
The phone supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. It also has HTC USonic earbuds with active noise cancellation, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition, 3D audio recording with four microphones, and Hi-res audio certified.
The phone has the fingerprint sensor located on the home button at the front. It has the same design as in HTC U Ultra. It also sports IP67 water and dust resistance.
The connectivity options in the phone are GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, USB 3.1 Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz & 5GHz), and NFC . The phone packs a 3000 mAh battery that claims to offer up to 24.5 hours of talk time and 14 days of standby time. It also includes Quick Charge 3.0 support and battery saving modes.
