Samsung’s new Galaxy S8 is getting an extraordinary response from consumers around the globe. The company has sold over 5 million units of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ units in the first month since the April 21.

Android Authority also confirmed that over 10 million units have also been shipped to retailers and carriers. So, 10 million marks will be achieved soon.

This milestone is impressive because the company only launched the phone in a limited number of markets. With the availability in more markets, the number of sales will increase with a better rate. The phone is yet to become available in China where the company has lots of potential customers. By the end of this month, it will be available in 120 countries.

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are beautiful with bezel-less Infinity display, Bixby, and powerful performance. Even if the company didn’t improve the camera enough this year, this camera is still capturing very good photos.

If you compare the sales numbers with previous two generations, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S6 enjoyed better sales. Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge hit 10 million units in three weeks from launch and they sold 11.8 million in the first half. So, we expect Galaxy S8 to easily beat Galaxy S7 in coming weeks.

According to early predictions, the S8 will reach 50 to 60 million in annual sales.
