Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ Launched in India for Rs. 57900 and 64900

Samsung has finally launched Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in India. Both phones are now up for pre-order and will go on sale starting May 5. Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are priced at Rs. 57900 and 64900 respectively.

If you pre-book the phones, you will get free Convertible Wireless Charger and Double Data offer on the Jio on recharge of Rs. 309.

We have already talked about these phones in past when Samsung officially announced it last month. Both phones come in Midnight Black and Maple Gold colors, but S8+ also has an additional color option Coral Blue color.

Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with 5.8-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display. The Galaxy S8+ offers larger 6.2-inch Quad HD+ display. Both phone’s display got Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

As I already confirmed, the Indian variant of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ come with Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor with 4GB RAM and Mali-G71 MP20 GPU. These phones have 64GB storage with an option to expand storage up to 256GB.

These phones offer 12 megapixels Dual Pixel Rear camera with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.55″ sensor size, OIS and 1.4µm pixel size. At the front, these phones have 8 megapixels camera with f/1.7 aperture, 1/3.6″ sensor size, 1.22µm pixel size, 80-degree wide-angle lens. While hardware has not been improved much from the past year’s Galaxy S series flagship devices, the software is now better to give you improved camera experience.

The connectivity features of the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth v 5.0 (LE up to 2Mbps), GPS with GLONASS, USB 3.1 and NFC. These phones also have Samsung’s MST tech for Samsung Pay.

The Galaxy S8 comes with 3000 mAh battery while Galaxy S8+ come with 3500 mAh battery. Both phones support fast charging on both Wired and Wireless charging modes.

These phones also have a dedicated button for Bixby AI assistant. Double press to launch the Bixby to get personalized experience on the phone. The voice support on Bixby will come later. These phones also support Samsung Pay in India. Samsung launched Samsung Pay last month.
