Rumors from South Korea shed some light on OnePlus’s next flagship phone, the OnePlus 5. Wait, shouldn’t the device be named OnePlus 4? Apparently, Number 4 is considered unlucky in China and OnePlus has decided to skip to Number 5.

The rumors claim that the OnePlus 5 will flaunt a dual edge display and is likely to come with a 256 GB storage. The report also hints a 16 MP front-facing camera and a 23 MP rear camera. Under the hood, the next OnePlus flagship will likely have either a 6GB or 8GB RAM coupled with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC.  However, OnePlus will have to wait till it gets its hands on the 835 SoC as Samsung is taking in the same chipset for its S8 and S8 Plus.

Coming to the design aspect, the OnePlus 5 will probably feature a ceramic body, as seen on the Xiaomi Mi Mix. An USB Type-C port with a 4,000 mAh Battery is expected on this device. We are pretty sure OnePlus will use the Dash Charge feature on the OnePlus 5 as well.

The release date of this flagship has not been revealed yet. However, it clears that it is likely to compete with the recently launched LG G6 and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8.

These are just rumors and we can not be absolutely sure until more credible leaks or official announcement comes in. One thing we are sure os that the next OnePlus flagship will have huge expectations, given the massive success of the PnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.
