A new report suggests that Samsung has not ditched the Note series. It is now working on next Galaxy Note 8 smartphone that is expected to become official in the second half of 2017.

A Korean newspaper shared few details of Note 8. These details were revealed by a representative of Samsung’s partner company. He confirmed that Samsung will use the 4K display to improve the VR experience. It will also connect the new Gear VR wearable.

This new smartphone will have improved S-Pen Stylus and Bixby, the new AI assistant. Samsung will officially announce the Bixby with Samsung Galaxy S8 in April.

Samsung is also planning to share the results of Note 7 fire investigation by the end of this month. Currently, there are rumors that the source of the issue might be the hardware design. We are waiting for the official report of investigation.
