Now we have multiple reports confirming different announcement dates of Xiaomi mi 5. Few reports suggested it become official on February 14 while other reports claimed that announcement will be delayed to April.

Now we have another report claiming that Xiaomi Mi5 will become official on February 6 and the sales will start at some time in March.

The previous report claimed the delay due to the shipment issue of Snapdragon 835. Samsung is not able to produce enough Snapdragon 835 chipset for Qualcomm. This Soc is for flagship phones ordered by most of the manufacturers. Due to high demand, the Samsung is facing the tough time in fulfilling the orders.

Few Chinese analyst claimed that the Soc shipment issue is not as bad as claimed in previous reports. Xiaomi has already started receiving the shipments of Snapdragon 835 for its Mi 6 and the phone is almost ready to become official on February 6.

Xiaomi may take time in shipments and in initial days, it may sell less number of units if it faces issues with Chipset availability.
