Amazon India has just announced a new service ‘Sell as Individual’ that allows you to sell your used products on Amazon India. As of now the service is only available in Bangaluru.
This service will make it easier to sell your used products. You can sell your products locally in your city and Amazon will be handling the doorstep pick-up, packing, and delivery of used goods.
You just need to visit Sell as Individual page, fill the form by entering the details of product, price and pickup details. As of now, the only option is Bangaluru.
Once your listing is live, it will be shown on Amazon.in under the used product category. Other customers can now purchase the products from Amazon.in. Once your product is sold, you will receive the email with details of pickup schedule.
At the scheduled time, the Amazon person will come to collect the product, pack it and then ship it to the buyer. If the product is undelivered, it will be back to the seller at no additional charge.
Seller will receive the money once the transaction is done but after deducting a small fee. The fee is reasonable.
To promote this service, Amazon is also offering Rs. 1000 as Amazon Pay balance if you sell five books, video games, movies or music. The same amount is also for selling one mobile phone, tablet or laptop. This offer is valid until January 15, 2017.
All the links on the page connect to Junglee. So, I assume Amazon has just started merging Junglee with Amazon India. Junglee was initially a price comparison website that was later turned into a website selling old products.
