Google Keyboard for Android is now Gboard, rolled out multiple active languages and more

Google released the keyboard app for iPhone dubbed as Gboard and Android users were wondering why they are not getting it. Now, Google has pushed Gboard for Android as the v6.0 update of Google Keyboard.

Not just the name, Google has changed the lot more things in the app and brought few new features including search shortcuts and multi-language support.

The final update is not yet available, but Android Police managed to note all changes and listed them for us.

As per the report, Gboard keyboard app offers a G button that enables quick access to search from the keyboard. It also offers optional number row.

Users can also enable multiple (up to 3) active languages with the preference for one. There is also an option to search for Emoji and GIF button is also there to quickly search Emoji and add in conversation. It is worth to note that GIF button will not be available in apps without support.

It also supports gesture typing that is now called Glide typing in this app

Google is rolling out the update and it is expected to come soon. If you do not wait for long, you can download the new build from APK Mirror. APK Mirror has listed Gboard as a separate app alongside the Google Keyboard.
