Belkin has launched its new product for iPhone users in India. This is the Lightning to USB Cable dubbed as ‘DuraTek’ to charge the iPhone and data sync.

Balkin is the key player in this segment and has been working closely with Apple for accessories and cables. When iPhone 7 was announced, Belkin also came with its Lightning Adapter that lets you charge iPhone 7 and listen to music with EarPods at the same time.

If I talk about the key feature of the cable, it is designed with Kevlar, a high strength synthetic fiber used as a reinforcing agent to strengthen the conductors and enhance protection. So it is of better quality than the quality of cable Apple offers. Apple’s original cable hardly lasts more than 10 months.

These are key features

  1. Kevlar, a high strength synthetic fiber used as a reinforcing agent to strengthen the conductors and enhance protection
  2. Drain wiring helps with added protection
  3. Insulated conductors reduce friction while creating added flexibility and protection
  4. Shield-braid and metalized Mylar shielding help to protect the cable from external electro-magnetic interference
  5. Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) cable jacket is soft, pliable, and environmentally friendly
  6. Double-braided nylon exterior is abrasion resistant, reducing fraying and lasting longer

Key connector features:

  1. Laser-welded connector withstands over 40.47 pounds of force
  2. Supports 12W optimal charging for iOS devices
  3. Robust metal can protects circuit board
  4. High polished extruded aluminium casing pairs perfectly with your iPhone
  5. 18mm TPE strain relief is built to withstand over 5000+ cycles during 180-degree cable bend test

The only thing customers will be surprised to know is the pricing. This cable costs Rs. 2499 that makes it costlier than original Apple’s Lightning cable. But you should not forget about the warranty and quality of the product. You can still buy it from Amazon.in for lesser price.
