Alcatel has launched its new smartphone Idol 4 in India. If you could remember, this was the same phone BlackBerry launched as BlackBerry DTEK50 in India last month. Alcatel Idol 4 is priced at Rs. 16999. It was officially announced at the MWC 2016.

Alcatel Idol 4 will be available exclusively available from Flipkart starting from today at 2PM.

Alcatel Idol 4 is virtual reality ready phone. It comes with a virtual reality headset built into the box.

Alcatel Idol 4 comes with 5.2-inch Full HD IPS LTPS display. It is powered by octa-Core Snapdragon 617 (4 x 1.7GHz + 4 x 1.2GHz) processor with Adreno 405 GPU and 3 GB RAM.

It comes with 16 GB internal storage with microSD card slot to expand storage up to 512GB. It comes with Hybrid dual SIM (nano+nano/microSD) where secondary SIM slot acts as microSD card slot.

It has 13 megapixels rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and EIS. It has 8 megapixels front camera with LED flash and 84-degree wide-angle lens.

This phone has Dual stereo speakers (2 x 3.6W), Smart PA (Power Amplifier) TFA9890, and BOOM Key Experience Booster.

This phone offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS with A-GPS, NFC, and USB OTG connectivity options. It is packed with 2610mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support.
