WhatsApp has just updated the iOS app and added much-awaited feature. Now, the app allows users to send and receive GIFs.

Best thing is that WhatsApp has integrated the Giphy massive library to search for animation and include in your conversations.

You can also send Live Photos as GIFs to your friends using iOS for WhatsApp. You just need to tap on attach icon, select Photo/Video Library, 3D Touch a Live Photo and then tap ‘Select as GIF’ to send it. It is worth to note that 3D Touch feature is only available to iPhone 6s users and above.

There is also a GIF editor that lets you add stickers, captions and even draw anything. So, you can do lot more than just sharing GIFs.

The app also lets you turn shorter videos or up to 6 seconds into GIFs. Simply select a clip from your camera roll and then tap the GIF toggle to convert it.

Update your WhatsApp and enjoy new GIF features.
