Reliance Big Entertainment launches video streaming app Chillx

Reliance Big Entertainment has launched a new video-on-demand app Chillx. This app has been launched in partnership with digital media and distribution company FunOnGo Media who developed the app for Reliance.

As of now the app is only available for Android and offer access to videos, apps, games, music and movies. Users can access to both free and paid content, but paid content is only available in premium accounts. Plans for premium accounts start for Rs. 49 a month. Free ad-supported option is available for users.

The app not just features Hindi content, it also offers content from many other Indian languages including Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, English, and Telugu. The company that users want to access local languages content. As per a study, 85% of smartphone users in India will consume entertainment in local languages by 2020.

With the launch of the app, Reliance Big Entertainment claims to become one of the biggest content aggregators publishers and distributors in the country. It claims to have more than 500 partners including big names.

The company has taken care of various factors to make the app interesting. It also noted that users can set the video quality if they have low internet connection. Users can also download the content to access it offline.

Users can also try paid apps and games before they can buy. It also offers special focus on India-centric content and recommends apps or games based on user interest.

Chillx app is available to download via Google Play. The company has also partnered with few smartphone brands to bring the app pre-loaded on few smartphones. These smartphone brands are Micromax, Intex, Lava, and Karbonn.
