Today, Ola announced a big news for most of its users who want to try outstation trips. Ola has introduced ‘One-way’ trip fares on Ola Outstation. It will reduce the trip cost to half as users will not have to pay for return journey fare that they haven’t taken.

This became possible only because Ola has scaled the outstation to more cities. Now it claims to connect 500+ cities and towns across the India with its outstanding offering. Adding One-way fare for the outstation trip will surely boost the segment because there are hundreds of people who do outstation trips from metro cities but couldn’t find outstation fare reasonable because of round trip fare.

‘One-way’ trips have been rolled out in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Ahmedabad and Kanpur. Even if the list is small, the company has already promised to grow the list in next two months.

Now Ola outstation also allows pre-booking or a ride for up to two days in advance.

Ola Outstation is available in over 45 cities and Ola recorded month-on-month growth of 50% in this ride segment. It inspired the company to make it big and more affordable for users.

Raghuvesh Sarup, CMO and Head of Categories, Ola said, “Ola Outstation is a ‘made for India’ solution, bringing the unique Ola experience to inter-city travel, with the same level of convenience and reliability. Through Ola Outstation, we are structuring the fragmented outstation travel segment like never before. With the introduction of ‘One-way’ trip fares, we are bringing increased affordability, from the efficiencies of scale that our platform has built. This is yet another first of its kind innovation that is based on our understanding of the Indian consumer.” He further added, “Connecting over 500 cities across the country, Ola Outstation is yet another step in keeping with our mission to build mobility for a billion Indians by providing locally relevant, smart and sustainable mobility solutions.”

Ola claims that it offers the best fleet of cars and trained, verified and top rated driver partners for outstation trips. It ensures that customers will face no trouble while enjoying the on-road experience.
