Well-known payments company MobiKwik has partnered with Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation to integrated its mobile wallet on IRCTC website as a payment method for tatkal tickets booking.

The company claims that users will be able to pay in less than 2 seconds while paying with MobiKwik wallet. So, there are more chances to get a confirmed ticket. MobiKwik also ensures that bookings will not get rejected due to payment delays.

The only thing users need to do is recharge the MobiKwik wallet and keep enough money on it to pay for ticket booking. You can use net banking, credit or debit card or cash loading options to recharge your MobiKwik wallet.

MobiKwik is already a payment option on the IRCTC app and the IRCTC Foodontrack app.

“MobiKwik collaborated with Indian Railways to digitize payments on the IRCTC app and IRCTC FoodOnTrack app this year, and now we are powering payments for tatkal online that will help users book tickets almost instantly,” MobiKwik co-founder Upasana Taku said in a statement on Thursday.

This integration is a big move for MobiKwik and will help the company to get many active users. Tatkal ticket booking accounts for around 15% daily ticket bookings for Indian Railways. Most of us have suffered the issue when we failed to get tatkal tickets just because of delay in OTP from bank or bank website’s response.

What do you think about this move?
