Huawei has silently added another member in its Mate 9 family of smartphones. After announcing, Mate 9, Mate 9 Porsche Design, and Mate 9 Pro, it just added Huawei Mate 9 Lite. Now the phone is listed on official website.
As you can guess by the name, this is a mid-range smartphone. The company didn’t list the price or availability details.
Huawei Mate 9 Lite comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 at the top. It is powered by powerful 2.1GHz octa-core Kirin 655 processor on Kirin 960 chipset.
It is packed with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. Another variant with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB RAM can also come for other markets.
It has dual camera setup but no Leica in this mode. It has 12 megapixels rear camera with a 2 megapixels secondary rear camera. At the front, it has an 8 megapixels front camera.
It is packed with a fingerprint sensor located below the rear camera setup. It also has 3340 mAh large battery to power this phone.
Huawei Mate 9 Lite will be available in three colors including Gold, Grey and Silver. Dimensions of the phone measure 150.9 x 76.2 x 8.2 mm. The weight of the phone is 162 grams.
