Gionee has launched the successor Gionee S8 dubbed as Gionee S9. This phone was already leaked via TENAA losting. It comes with the price tag of 2499 yuan and will be available starting from November 25 in China. It comes in Gold, Rose Gold, and Black color options.

The Gionee S9 comes with 5.5-inch LTPS full HD display but lacks AMOLED panel. It is powered by 2.0 Ghz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor with Mali T860 GPU and 4 GB RAM.

It comes with 64 GB internal storage with microSD card slot to expand storage up to 128GB. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo 3.5 OS at top.

It has dual camera setup at back with 13-megapixels and 5-megapixels sensors. With this camera setup, it will allow users adjust the focus and depth of field blur on clicked pictures.  It also has 13 megapixels front camera. It also comes with self-timer and seven beauty effects to enhance selfies.

It measures 154.2 x 76.4 x 7.4 mm and is heavier by weighing 168.2 grams.

It offers 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port connectivity options. It is packed with 3000 mAh battery.

It also offers fingerprint sensor at the back. It claims to come with various security and privacy features including app locks, document locks and more. It also offers private space that will let users save private contacts, texts, call history, and documents separately. You can also add password protection this private space.
