Over 340 million Adult Friend Finder accounts leaked in massive Data breach

AdultFriendFinder hacked

If you have ever used Over Adult Friend Finder, you should start worry. This casual dating website has suffered a massive data breach and this is so huge. Over 340 million accounts have reportedly been exposed in the recent data breach.

It is worth to note that this is the second time it has been hacked second times in past 18 months.

Friend Finder Network Inc, that operates the wide range of services, was hacked in October 2016. Affected websites are Adultfriendfinder.com, Cams.com, Penthouse.com, Stripshow.com, iCams.com and few other websites.

This data leak was uncovered by data leak information site LeakedSource. Hackers exploited Local File Inclusion on the server and obtained the database of the website. In total over 412 million accounts have been exposed in this hack.

According to the available information, the leaked database contains email addresses, easily crackable (or in some cases, unprotected) passwords, usernames, IP addresses and browser information. The company also fails to encrypt the data. The company stored user passwords in plainly visible format or with the very poor Secure Hash Algorithm 1 (SHA1) hash function.

Like other leaked passwords, we again see the same most common passwords in this leak. 123456, 123456789, password, qwerty, and pussy, fuckme, fuckyou and iloveyou are the most frequent passwords leaked in this data.

If you ever used ‘Adult Friend Finder’, you must change your password. You should also change the passwords in all those accounts where you used the same email/password combination.
