Google just announced Pixel ‘Phone by Google’

Google just announced much-awaited Pixel phones at its San Fransico event. Google’s new Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are now official and offer high-end hardware specs.

These phones differ in the display. Pixel phone comes with 5-inch 1080p display while Pixel XL offers 5.5-inch Quad-HD display. The display is also protected with Gorilla Glass 4.

These phones have been manufactured by HTC but Google takes full credit and calls these phones ‘Phone by Google from inside and outside.’

Google PixelPixel phones are the first to come with Google Assistant. Google Assistant is the same thing what Google used in its chat app Allo.

Google claims that Pixel smartphones come with the best smartphone camera to give you amazing photography experience. Google says, “This isn’t only the best smartphone camera we’ve ever made. It’s the best smartphone camera ever made.” It has 12.3-megapixels rear camera with a f/2.0 lens. For selfie shooting, it got 8-megapixels front camera.

Both phones carry Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM. Pixel ships with 32 GB or 128 GB storage models. These phones also come with endless cloud storage. Google will allow free unlimited storage for your full resolution images and videos shot with Pixel.

Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C.

Google Pixel is packed with 2770 mAh battery while Google Pixel XL comes with 3450 mAh battery. It supports quick charge and battery can be charged for 7 hours of usage in just 15 minutes.

Google Pixel is priced at $649 for 32GB and $749 for the 128GB version. On the other hand, Google Pixel XL is priced at $769 for the 32GB version and $869 for the 128GB version.

It will be available for pre-order in the US, Australia, Canada and Germany starting today. Google does not want Indian consumers to wait. So, it will be available for pre-order in India on Flipkart online on October 13th. It will also be available from Reliance Digital and Croma offline.
