Google Announces ‘WiFi’, a smart router for $129

Today, Google has just introduced Google WiFi Home router. It comes with smart features similar to OnHub.

It is basically an expandable system that allows you to add Google WiFi points in a large room by using mesh WiFi technology. These WiFi points connect to one another and form a large network and spread strong signal to every room.

Google WiFi also comes with Network Assist technology that works behind the scene and keep your Wi-Fi fast. So, you do not need to know how to adjust your router.

Google WiFi works with a companion app that is available on Android and iOS. This app lets you pause WiFi on selected devices and check what devices are connected. You can also check how much bandwidth a device is using on your network.

Google WiFi will be available for pre-order in US starting November this year. It is priced at $129 for a single pack, and $299 for a three-pack at. It will be available from Google Store, Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart.
