Today, Google announced its new app ‘Trips’ that is basically a trip planner and the trip guide app for travelers. This free app is now available on both Android and iOS.
Google Trips is a nice app which organizes your trip and helps you plan a trip in the better way. It offers editorial guides to more than 200 cities and also offers personalized recommendations based on your Google history.
This app requires you to log in with your Google account. Once, you have signed in, it shows you a list of your previous trips based on your Google History.
Tap into the future trip and you will find various options to explore. It offers sections to save your reservation tickets, section to check what should you do on that place, and restaurants to enjoy food and drinks, You can also save places you want to visit and create your day plans. It pulls information like flight tickets and hotel reservation tickets from your Gmail.
If you are on a trip, it uses real-time data to show you if the destinations are open or closed. But this works only if you have an active data connection.
One thing for sure is that Google is tracking every single step you are taking. If you have privacy concerns, this app is not for you. But as a traveler, you will surely find this app very useful for planning your trip successfully.
The best thing about the app is that it is available offline and you will see most of the information without having an internet connection.
