During the iPhone launch event, Appl CEO Tim Cook confirmed that Apple Music has been growing very fast. It now has over 17 million paid subscribers.

Apple’s music streaming service continues to growing despite high competition. Cook also said that Apple Music had carried 70 exclusive launch debuts from artists including Taylor Swift, Drake, and Frank Ocean.

He also confirmed that Apple Music will be broadcasting episodes of “Carpool Karaoke,” a recurring comedy sketch by late-night talk show host James Corden early next year.

Apple confirmed 15 million paying subscribers back in July this year at WWDC. It added 2 million subscribers in less than 3 months.

Spotify is still much bigger than Apple music. As confirmed in June, Spotify has over 39 million subscribers and over100 million total listeners.
