Finally, wait is over. Apple has officially announced iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at an event in San Francisco. Apple started with new variant of iPhone with has the beautiful design and a high glass finish. It has glossy mirrored design which looks awesome.
Apple calls it ‘Jet Black’ variant with stainless steel Apple logo at back. It will also be available gold, silver and rose gold colors.
The home button is used for home, multitasking, Siri, Accessibility, Touch ID, reachability and Apple way. So, Apple has redesigned it to make it more responsive and better. It is powered by Taptic Engine.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come with the better display. This new display is 25% brighter than the display in previous gen iPhone models. The iPhone 7 has 4.7-inch Display and iPhone 7 Plus has 5.5-inch Display.
New iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are dust and water resistant with IP67 rating. So, it can survive if you drop it in pool or toilet but it is still not recommended to shower with.
The iPhone 7 has 12 megapixels camera with OIS, f/1.8 aperture, Quad-LED True Tone Flash and six element lens.
The iPhone 7 Plus comes with the dual rear camera.The dual-lens setup allows for both wide angle and telephoto. In these two lenses, one lens handles 1x zoom and the other hands 2x zoom. It also offers 10x digital zoom. Users can tap on screen of camera app to zoom.
Apple has also developed a feature that uses both lenses for a shallow depth of field. This feature will be available via a software update later this year.
Apple has also upgraded Facetime camera. Now, iPhone models come with 7-megapixels front camera.
Apple’s new iPhones now come with stereo speakers. Both models lack audio jack. Earpods will now connect via the Lightning port. Apple has also made an adapter to convert 3.5 mm to lightning and this adaptor will come within the box.
Apple’s new iPhone models are powered by A10 Fusion chip. Graphics performance has also been improved a lot. It is 40% faster than A9 chip. Graphics performance has also been improved a lot.

Apple has also improved the battery of new iPhone models to deliver longer battery backup. The iPhone 7 lasts 2 hours more than iPhone 6s.
Preorders will start September 9 and it will go on sale on August 16.
It starts at 32 GB of storage for $649 for the smaller device and $769 for the Plus. There are 128 GB and 256 GB options also available.
