Today, Xiaomi launched two new smartphne of its Redmi series in India. These phones are Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime. These phones are priced at Rs. 6999 and Rs. 8999.
Both the phones will be available initially from Mi.com and Flipkart through open sale. Thanks Xiaomi for not forcing its irritating flash sales this time. Redmi 3S Prime will be available starting August 9th 12 Noon onwards and Redmi 3S will be available starting from August 16th.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime both phones are similar in specifications. These phones come with 5-inch HD display and runs on MIUI 7. These phones are powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 ( 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor with Adreno 505 GPU. Redmi 3S will be available with 2GB RAM and 16 GB storage while Redmi 3S Prime will be available with 3GB RAM and 32 GB storage.
This time, company has included premium metal body in their Redmi phones. These phones also come with better 13 megapixels rear camera with PDAF and 5 megapixels front camera.
Infrared sensor is available in both phones but only Redmi 3S Prime come with fingerprint sensor. These phones also support 4G with VoLTE. Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS and micro USB.
These phones come with hybrid SIM slot. So, you can use the secondary nano SIM slot as a microSD slot when required.
These phones are packed with large 4100 mAh battery.
These phones are made in India. The company also confirmed that over 75% of Xiaomi’s smartphones that are currently sold in India are made in India.
