Today, Xiaomi announced another product ‘Mi Robot Vacuum,’ in its Mi Ecosystem. This product has been developed by Mi Ecosystem company Rockrobo. This robot can single-handedly keep your house clean

Mi Robot Vacuum is an intelligent robot which can scan its surroundings 360 degrees, 1,800 times per second. For this extraordinary capability, it is packed with Laser Distance Sensor (LDS). It also ha sbuilt-in Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithm to map out the layout of the house and calculate the best path for cleaning. This is the same mapping algorithm used by autonomous driving technology to power driverless cars.

It is equipped with 12 sensors including Laser Distance Sensor (LDS), the ultrasonic radar sensor, cliff sensor, gyroscope, and accelerometer. LDS is able to scan its surrounding. It also has three dedicated processors for real-time mapping and positioning.

It has Powerful Nidec brushless DC motor and ulra-quiet airflow. The main brush of this robot is adjustable in height and can automatically adjust the height to create the tight seal with the floor for thorough dirt pick-up on uneven surfaces. Mi Robot Vaccum sports a flat circular design with two rotating side brushes on the below side for pushing dust towards main brush.

This is also integrated with Mi Home app and allows you to control the robot remotely and set scheduled cleaning. This app also shows the part robot takes in real-time and provides the estimated time it will take in cleaning.

It is packed with 5200 mAh battery which can perform up to 2.5 hours of cleaning. It also has a feature called Smart Return which brings the Mi Robot Vaccum back to charging dock when it is on low battery. When it is charged, it goes to last cleaning location.

It will available in China starting September 6. It is priced at RMB 1699 and will be available via Mi.com and Mi Home stores in China.
