Smartwatch With Heart Rate Sensor Launched for CNY 799

Today, Xiaomi launched its first smartphone in collaboration with partner Huami. This smartwatch is dubbed as Xiaomi Amazfit. It is priced at CNY 799 and will be available in country smarting from Wednesday.

Xiaomi claims that the smartwatch is world’s first with a 28nm GPS sensor. It is also dust and water resistant with IP67 certification.

It comes with a 1.34-inch circular display with 300×300 pixels resolution. It features a ceramic bezel which should make it scratch resistant and comes with a 22 nm band. The band is also user replaceable. It is powered by 1.2GHz processor with 512 MB RAM. It has 4 GB storage.

Xiaomi Amazfit has a heart rate sensor on the rear panel with continuous tracking. It is packed with 200 mAh battery which claims to offer up to 5 days of battery life. With GPS enabled, the battery backup will drop to 30 hours.

It is compatible with any Android device that supports MIFit app. The company has also partnered with Alibaba to offer mobile payment support for the AliPay service.
