Last month, Prisma app became viral and we saw a flood of photos processed by this app on social media websites. Prisma was cool because of its neural-network-powered art filters for photos. The only issue was its slow performance. It was slow in processing your photos because actual processing was being done on Prisma’s servers. App used to upload photos on Prisma’s server and then fetch processed images. If your internet connection is slow, you could not use Prisma properly because uploading and downloading of photos need good connectivity.

Now, Prisma has changed it by adding the offline capability to is iOS app. So, you can use Prisma even without having active internet connection on your smartphone. Well, Android users will have to wait for few more days to get the offline capability.

As of now, only half of the Prisma’s filters will be available offline (16 total), but others will be added in the “near future.”

With offline capability, now your photos will be processed faster to give you the better experience. You also do not need to worry about server outages. Even if you are on the low internet connection or with no active data plan, you can still enjoy Prisma.

Prisma is making these changes to prepare its servers for video processing which is coming very soon.

The company also claims to be first to implement neural network technology in a smartphone. Prisma says that it takes 6 seconds to process a photo in iPhone 6S and bit more for iPhone 6S. It has also been downloaded for over 52 million times with 4 million daily users.
