Do you use Windows 10? You have a chance to get rewards from Microsoft for using Edge browser. Microsoft will be paying Windows 10 users to use Edge browser through its renamed Microsoft Rewards Program.
With Microsoft Rewards Program, which is rebranded version of Bing rewards, Microsoft wants to increase the number of users using Edge browser. Edge, which is the default browser in Windows 10, is said to be more energy efficient and faster than Google Chrome and Firefox. But the sad reality is that 75% Windows 10 users are actually not using Edge.
In this Microsoft Rewards program, users will be given trade points for accessing the Internet via Edge browser. Microsoft will actively monitor if users are using Edge on their Windows 10 system for as many as 30 hours per month. They will get credit points with each hour of usage. This program will track active usage, and hence mouse movements will also be tracked to avoid cheating. You must set Bing as your default search engine on Edge to be eligible for this program.
Earned points can be redeemed for credits or vouchers to vendors such as Amazon, Skype, Starbucks, and the advertisement-free Outlook.com. If you are interested in getting these credits and do not mind using Edge, you can take part in this and start using Edge on your Windows 10 system.
It is worth to note that this option is not available in all countries including India.
Recent studies confirmed that Edge browser is good in terms of battery performance on Windows 10 devices.Still, this browser is facing the tough time and Microsoft is trying its best to get few users for Edge.
