Qualcomm recently unveiled an upgrade for their high-end processor lineup and introduced Snapdragon 821. Asus didn’t take much time and unveiled an upgraded variant of its recently announced ZenFone 3 Deluxe at an event in Hong Kong and Taiwan. This upgraded version of Zenfone 3 Deluxe becomes first smartphone to be powered by new Snapdragon 821 Processor.

This smartphone was originally launched with Snapdragon 820 a few weeks back at Computer Trade Show.

Snapdragon 821 will be available in the top line-up which also features 6 GB RAM and 256 GB SFS 2.0 storage. The graphics is handled by the Adreno 530 GPU running at 650 MHz.

Other two variants of Zenfone 3 Deluxe feature 4GB RAM/32GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage respectively. These phones will still have Snapdragon 820.

It is worth to mention that all these variants are officially certified for Google’s upcoming Daydream VR platform.

Other specifications of the phone are same with 5.7-inch 1080p display, 23-megapixels rear camera, 8-megapixels front camera, dual SIM support, fingerprint sensor, USB Type C, Android 6.0 with latest ZenUI, 3000 mAh battery with support to fast charging.

Zenfone 3 Deluxe also features fingerprint sensor located at the back side of the phone.

Now Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe series is up for sale in Hong Kong and Taiwan starting from next month. But this new Snapdragon 821 powered Zenfone 3 Deluxe will come later.
