Xiaomi has just announced its new smartphone Redmi Pro at an event in China. As the name suggestions, this device comes with pro features that make it better than its predecessors. This is the first time company is using OLED display and a dual-camera setup on a device. Surprising fact is that company brought these features in affordable Redmi series in place of Mi.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro comes with brushed metal body which looks awesome. It has fingerprint sensor on the bome button, similar to Mi 5. It has 5.5-inch 1080p OLED 2.5D curved glass display and runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 / X25 SoC and will be available in 3GB or 4GB RAM models.
It comes with dual rear camera setup with 13 MP and 5 MPP cameras at back. Camera features are PDAF and dual-tone LED Flash. It also has a 5 megapixels front camera.
Connectivity features of the phone are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n (2.4 / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C. It also has 4000 mAh battery with support to fast charging.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pro comes in Gold, Silver and Gray color options. Pricing details are as follows.
- Helio X20, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage: 1499 yuan
- Helio X25, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage : 1699 yuan
- Helio X25, 4GB RAM and 128GB storage: 1999 yuan
It will be available for order in China from August 6.
