Xiaom has launched its latest phone Mi Max in an Indian market. This phone has been priced at Rs. 14999 and registrations for sale have already begun on mi.com. It will go on sale on July 6. After that, it will also be available through Amazon.in, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Tata CLiQ and Paytm from July 13th. Mi Max comes in gold, silver and light grey colors
Xiaomi Mi Max is actually a phablet and company thinks that the phone is for those who want to have tablet experience without having a larger device which is hard to carry. This phone comes with 6.44-inch 2.5D Glass display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. This phone is thin with 7.5 mm thickness and carries the weight of 203grams even with 4850 mAh large battery.
It runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Company also announced MIUI 8 and this phone will get the OTA update when MIUI 8 will be available in the country.
Xiaomi Mi Max is powered by hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor with Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB RAM. Internal storage of this phone is 32 GB and it is expandable up to 128 GB. Another variant of Mi Max will octa-core Snapdragon 652, 4GB RAM and 128 GB storage will be available later for Rs. 19999.
It comes with 16-megapixels rear camera with PDAF< Dual-tone LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. At front, it has the 5-megapixels front camera. It has a fingerprint sensor at the back side of the phone.
It supports all Indian 4G band with VoLTE. Other connectivity features of the phone are 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS. It has Hybrid slots,you have to select between dual SIM and single SIM with microSD card slot options.
As I already confirmed, It is packed with 4850 mAh large battery which promises to offer around 2 days of usage.
Xiaomi has also moved forward with its content strategy. It announced 3 months movies subscription and 1-year music subscription from Hungama Play or Music apps for first one million Mi Max, Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3 users. First, 10000 MAX users will also watch one of the biggest blockbuster movies ‘Batman versus Superman’ for free along with exclusive behind the scene footage.
Basically, this phone is large and hard to use for people will small palm. But, this can be a good replacement for your tablet. This phone is thin and can be carried in the pocket. But with the large display, you can enjoy it as the tablet to watch movies and videos on the go.
