Finally, Apple has officially renamed OS X to MacOS. Not just rename, Apple has introduced the new version of its desktop OS dubbed as macOS Sierra. Apple has introduced many new things in this new MacOS Sierra and improved few existing features.
As expected, this new MacOS comes with Siri integration. You just need to say “hey Siri,” and Apple’s AI assistant will be ready to respond your query. Siri will help you in searching for your files, sending messages and many other tasks.
MacOS is also getting an ability to automatically unlock your Mac when your iPhone or Apple Watch is close to it. This feature is called “auto unlock.”
Apple has also merged the clipboard of iOS and macOS to create universal clipboard. It has received new optimized storage option. This sends the older files to the icloud to make free space for your newer files.
If you use multiple MacOS machines, Apple now syncs your desktops between these devices.
Now Apple Pay works on the browser. Authentication will be done using TouchID on the phone using Continuity feature. You can also perform authentication with a tap on Apple watch.
This update will be coming to beta users in July and will be available as a free upgrade to all OS X or MacOS users.
