LeEco Le 2 First Impressions : Beautiful and Powerful

LeEco Le 2

LeEco has launched its new LeEco Le 2 in the Indian market to replace its existing Le 1S and Le 1S Eco smartphones. LeEco Le 2 comes with upgraded hardware specifications and better performance. This phone also comes with changes to physical design along with hardware specs. It is priced at Rs. 11999 in India.

LeEco Le 2 comes with the premium metal build which makes it an attractive phone of this price segment. Not just a phone and its specifications, it has a proper ecosystem to back its phones.

LeEco Le 2 comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EUI at the top. EUI comes with very light but heavily customized Android. You will hardly see any lag or UI issues. Everything runs smooth. You can also customize its UI by installing more themes and wallpapers. EUI is packed with LeEco ecosystems membership where you get access to content including movies, videos, live channels, music and 5TB of cloud storage. Although, this membership is paid but 450 Rs. per month is much cheaper for these services.

The most notable thing about this phone is that it has ditched the 3.5 mm audio jack. While we had rumors about iPhone ditching 3.5 mm jack in next model, LeEco became the first company to do this. Here, it is worth to mention that LeEco was the first company to drop microUSB to adopt USB Type C. LeEco always try to be first in adopting new standards and technologies.

LeEco also announced the CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) standard which utilizes the USB Type-C port as an audio interface to offer lossless audio experience. The company has also announced world’s first CDLA Type C audio headphones to deliver lossless audio. It is priced at just Rs. 1990.

The Design of the phone is similar but few tweaks in corner and back panel. Below the display, you see three touch buttons. At right edge, it has volume rockers and power button while at the left edge, it has SIM card tray. At top side, it has the infrared sensor. At below side, it has USB Type-C port with speaker grid. This time, corners radius is larger. At back side, it has the rear camera, dual LED flash and fingerprint sensor. The camera sensor is larger this time.

LeEco Le 2 features a 5.5 inch full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the top of it. The display is awesome with good sharpness, brightness and viewing angles. Not just indoor, it also offers good outdoor experience. But the display is reflective to be as comfortable in outdoor as it is in indoor.

In India, LeEco Le 2 comes with 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The Performance of this phone is very good. The Company also claimed to achieve more than 77000 scores on Antutu. It comes with 32 GB internal storage with no option to expand the storage.

It comes with 16 megapixels rear camera with PDAF, dual LED flash and various camera modes. While Le 1S was also good in camera performance, this phone is also expected to deliver something better to meet our expectations. At the front, now this phone comes with 8-megapixels front camera. So, you have the better camera to capture the selfie.

It is packed with 3000 mAh battery with support to quick charging. While I was expecting to see the larger battery, this time, company disappoints in this thing. As the phone is for consuming multimedia content online, it requires the larger battery.

It has various connectivity options including 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz),Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type C. At the back panel, it has a fingerprint sensor which is fast and quickly recognizes your fingerprint. It also features an infrared sensor.

This phone puts good impressions with its beautiful build and powerful performance. At this price, this phone will surely add a road block in sales of competitors.

We will be doing the review of this phone. So stay tuned and subscribe us for latest updates.
