Design

Meizu M3 Note carries same design pattern what we have already seen in this price segment. It comes with metal unibody design which is inspired by iPhone’s design pattern. This aluminum build gives it a premium feel. At this price, you wouldn’t expect better than this.

This phone will be available in three colors: white, silver and gold. But, I got the chance to experience the silver variant.

At front panel, it has the 5.5-inch display. Below the display, it has a physical home button equipped with the fingerprint sensor. A single tap on this button works as the back key.

Volume rockers are power button are at the right edge. At left edge, it contains slot to insert sim try. The 3.5 mm jack is placed at the top side. Micro USB port and speaker is at the bottom side of the device.

13-megapixels rear camera with dual LED flash is on the back panel of this phone.

There is nothing special in design, but it looks good to eyes and feels nice. Due to curve at edges, it offers good grip.

Display

It is packed with 5.5 inches full HD display with 403 PPI pixel density. Display of this phone is responsive and offers good viewing angles. But overall brightness was bit low. The screen is reflective which makes sunlight readability poor. So, there is the scope for improvement in the display.

Chipset, RAM, and Storage

This phone is powered by octa-core MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 processor  in which 4 Cortex-A53 cores are clocked at 1.8GHz and other four cores are clocked at 1 GHz. It comes in two variants: one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage and other with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. We got chance to check the 2 GB RAM variant, but company will sell the 3 GB RAM variant in country. Performance of this phone is fine with its optimized software.

Mali-T860 graphics process is also there for better graphics performance. Company also claims that this GPU offers 125 percent better graphics performance compared to the m2 note.

Internal storage of this phone is expandable up to 128 GB. But this phone comes with Hybrid slot, so you can not use dual SIM and microSD card at the same time. It also supports USB OTG to access data from any OTG drive.

Camera

M3 Note features a 13 megapixels rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, phase detection autofocus, and f/2.2 aperture. The camera can also record up to full HD video. If you were expecting 4K video, this phone disappoints. But the camera of this phone is pretty decent. It took few shots and found that it captures photos with close to natural colors.

It also has a 5-megapixels front shooter with f/2.0 aperture. It can also record full HD videos. It was also capturing good photos.

The camera app is also simple and clean. It offers different camera effects and the different mode. Manual mode is also there for those who like better control over photography.

Software

Meizu M3 Note runs on Flyme OS 5.0 based on Android lollipop. I personally liked Flyme OS because of its clean interface and pretty nice animations in the different place. It comes with thousands of wallpapers and hundreds of themes . Notification panel is also different but good looking. As you only have 1 physical button at front panel, you should know that swiping on the display from top to bottom opens the multitasking screen.

Connectivity

This phone comes with different connectivity options like 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC connectivity options. It is packed with 4100 mAh battery which is large enough to give you a full day usage.

Final Words

For Rs. 9999, Meizu M3 Note will surely give competition to its rivals in this segment. While people are struggling in Flash sales of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, this phone can be a better option. There is nothing which can be a down point for this phone. It feels as good as its rivals Le 1S and Redmi Note 3.

With this Phone, Meizu has given a good competition to its rivals. While Meizu does not have good grip in the Indian market, this phone will surely bring few more new customers for this company.
