Google has just announced a standalone app for group discussion on a topic. This app is called Spaces. With this app, it is now easy to find and share articles, images and videos without even leaving the app. This app combines Google search, YouTube, and Chrome within it. So, you can use all these apps and start the discussion on any kind of content.

Creating Space is easy with just one tap and then invite anyone via messaging, email of the social network to have a discussion on that topic. There is also an option to search. So, you can always find something that was shared earlier on this app.

Google will also showcase this app at Google I/O this week. Google has created spaces for each session to developers can connect with each other and other Googlers at I/O to discuss on different topics.

Google has started rolling out today Spaces on Android, iOS, desktop and mobile web. Users need a Google account to access this app.

Recently, Google also started testing in-app chat service for YouTube. Now it has launched this app for discussions. It seems Google is focusing on bringing more engagement on its apps and reduce the bounce rate to keep users on its app for the longer time.
