Android Instant Apps allows you to use apps without installing them

Android Instant Apps

At Google I/O conference, Google showed off a new feature ‘Android Instant Apps’ for Android. With deep links, Android users will be able to use the apps from a link without even downloading the app from Play Store. It will help them in deciding whether they should download and install app or now.

It is also good for few situations when you just need to access app for one time and you do not want to download the whole app just for this one time use. So, you can just try this feature and Google Play will download the small parts needed for this experience.

As of now, this experience is limited what are basically called web apps. So, you will not be getting the whole app experience, but access to few features. It is limited to 4mb for now.

We cannot say if this feature will also be available for complex apps and games.

Google demonstrated this feature on a phone running on Android Kitkat and confirmed that it is also compatible with devices running on Jellybean.

Instant Apps will be rolling out to users later this year.
