Now, you have few more reasons to use Skype for Web. It has added few new features to make Skype for web more interesting. New features are calling to landline or mobile, playing YouTube videos in chat, notifications and ability to add people without Skype to a conversation.

Now you can call cellphones and landlines right from Skype for Web. You will have to purchase a subscription plan for this. I am sure you already know that Skype offers calls at very low price. To use this, click on the call phones tab

Skype for web can also play YouTube videos directly in chat. If someone send you a YouTube video link you will be able to watch it in Skype. Not just watching video, you will also be able to use volume and full-screen options.

The third and most interesting feature is the ability to add new people to a conversation even if they are not on Skype. You only need to press +New icon and then ‘share conversation.’ You will get a unique conversation URL that you can share with the persons you want to add in that conversations. Anyone with the URL can join the chat.

Skype for Web also gets notifications to let you know when you are getting important IM, call or files. If you are using another browser tab or another app, this feature will notify you when someone tries to contact you on Skype.

Microsoft confirmed to bring few more interesting features in coming days.

Skype for web is the best option when you get a shared computer without Skype. You do not need to download and Skype on it. Just visit Skype for web and start using Skype.
